School Counseling Program Mission Statement

The school counseling program at Georgetown Middle School strives to provide a comprehensive school counseling program that aligns with the American School Counselor Association standards that addresses academic, career, and personal/social development of all students. Through partnerships with educators, parents, and the community, all students in acquiring the skills, knowledge and attitudes needed to become effective students, responsible citizens, productive workers and lifelong learners.

The vision of the Georgetown Middle School, School Counseling Department is that all students will lead productive lives as responsible and respectful citizens and contribute to our society in a positive manner. All GMS students will graduate college and/or career ready, value diversity, be lifelong learners, and create partnerships with in their families and communities.
